The short version
EverDay does not operate an account server that receives your planner. We do not sell personal information, build advertising profiles, track you across apps or websites, or receive an in-app usage event stream.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers the EverDay iPhone app, its widgets and App Intents, the website at everday.app, and support messages sent to us. The App Store privacy label describes the app itself; website analytics and voluntarily sent support email are described separately below.
Information the app handles
Planner content
The planner content you create is stored in an on-device SwiftData store. When CloudKit is available, that store is mirrored to the private iCloud database associated with your Apple Account. We do not operate a separate planner backend and do not receive or inspect the contents of that private database.
Preferences and purchase status
Settings such as theme, week start, onboarding state, reminder defaults, and feature preferences are stored on the device or in EverDay's App Group storage so the app and widgets remain consistent. StoreKit provides the verified entitlement required to determine whether EverDay Pro is unlocked. We do not receive your payment-card details.
Notifications
With permission, EverDay schedules task reminders and optional weekly-review and morning-agenda notifications through Apple's notification system. A notification can contain a task title, timing information, and a subtask completion count. Task notes are never placed in notification content. Notifications may be visible on your Lock Screen according to your iOS notification-preview settings. You can disable notifications in EverDay or in iOS Settings.
Widgets, Siri, and App Intents
Widgets can display selected planner content on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. You control which widgets are installed and who can see your device. If you use Siri or App Intents, Apple processes the request needed to perform that action under Apple's own privacy terms.
Purchases
EverDay Pro is a non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles the transaction, localized price, billing record, and payment method. EverDay receives only the product information and verified entitlement needed to offer and unlock Pro.
Information the app does not collect
- No EverDay name, email address, phone number, password, or profile is required.
- No advertising identifier or cross-app tracking data is collected.
- No third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK receives app data.
- No contacts, photos, precise location, microphone, camera, or health data is requested.
- Planner content is not sold, rented, or used for advertising or model training.
Apple services
EverDay relies on Apple-provided services including iCloud, CloudKit, StoreKit, WidgetKit, App Intents, push delivery for CloudKit sync, and notifications. Apple may process information required to provide those services based on your Apple Account, device settings, and Apple's own policies. Read the Apple Privacy Policy for details.
Your choices and controls
- Choose whether EverDay may send notifications and how previews appear.
- Control iCloud access for EverDay through your Apple Account and iOS settings.
- Add or remove Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets at any time.
- Delete individual tasks and tags directly in the app.
- Use Settings → Erase everything to remove planner content and reset app preferences.
- Email us to request deletion of support correspondence you previously sent, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements.
Website hosting and analytics
This website is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics. Web Analytics records limited page-view information such as the page path, timestamp, referrer, coarse geographic region, browser, operating system, and device category. Vercel reports this as aggregated data that is not associated with an individual or stored IP address, and Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies. We do not send custom events containing names, email addresses, planner content, or other user identifiers.
Like other hosting providers, Vercel may process technical request and security information needed to deliver and protect the website. Website analytics never receives your EverDay tasks or other planner content. See Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation and Privacy Notice.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond, diagnose the reported issue, and maintain reasonable support records. Please describe the problem without including private task content unless it is necessary and you are comfortable sharing it.
Retention and deletion
Planner content remains on your device and, when CloudKit is active, in your private iCloud database until it is deleted. Erase everything deletes the app's planner records locally and submits those deletions to CloudKit. If a device is offline, propagation can be delayed until it reconnects; Apple may retain recoverable or backup copies according to its systems and policies. Deleting the app alone may not immediately remove data already stored in iCloud, so use Erase everything first if complete removal is your goal.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain service records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Website analytics availability follows the reporting window and retention practices of the configured Vercel service.
Children's privacy
EverDay is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. Because the app has no EverDay account or developer-operated analytics, we do not knowingly collect a child's planner or profile data. Apple Account and family settings remain governed by Apple.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when EverDay, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page. Material changes will be described clearly rather than applied retroactively where the law requires notice or consent.
